While I feel that I am in no position to provide any historical background towards this topic, it was a very moving experience so I thought I would blog about it. When I went to Germany, I visited Dachau Concentration Camp which is located in Munich. Visiting this concentration camp did not change my perception of Germany, or its culture, but rather it enhanced my understanding of it all.
Walking around the concentration camp is quite a heavy experience, but nonetheless I'm glad that I went. Below are some photos of what I saw inside the camp.

This is the entrance to the camp and also where the tour starts |

This sculpture represents the suicides that were committed during peoples' time in the camp |

This mural depicts the different symbols that the prisoners wore on their uniforms, each color and shape represents a different category of prisoner |
